Red State Voices

Red State Voices Banner

This is a movie that will air on Vermont Public Television on December 22nd at 10pm. The movie is a series of interview with people from the Richmond Virginia area that voted on the Republical ballot largely based on their moral view.

The Website has a great movie trailer on the home page that is worth watching. It is an honest discussion with people about thier moral view on topics. I’m not sure if it is 100% political or more of a social statement. As promised on the Website, I was suprised by what I heard. I was even hard to listen to it at some points.
The goal of this film is to share and understand the view of others and start a dialog between groups with different ideologies.

Another good movie: Apolacypto

The unique setting and plot of this movie makes me think it will be an intense film. The story takes place during the “turbulent end times of the once great Mayan civilization.” The synopsis describes the plot as the story of a “man taken on a perilous journey to a world ruled by fear and oppression where a harrowing end awaits him.” I would bet the harrowing end is as a sacrificial offering to the gods. From the Website and TV ads, it looks like the man escapes his captors and his fate.
